Welcome to our newest feature: Trails Tuesday! The first Tuesday of every month we’re going to feature one of the awesome Buffalo County trails on our website. We have some really cool plans for the future, so be sure to stay tuned for our upcoming Trails Tuesdays.
This month, we’re focusing on Pioneer’s Path, which runs from the end of Betty’s Trail at the 2nd Avenue underpass to the Great Platte River Road Archway. It’s 3.13 miles of scenic fun, and one of the trails I personally ride all the time. In fact, it’s usually part of my Super Funtime Ride. Check out one of the rides we went on below.
One nice thing about this trail is the wide lanes in the road and the low volume of traffic. Plus, there’s an antique shop on the way to the Archway, so can stop and pick up some cool finds (just be sure to bring a bag or basket to keep them in!). This will also be one of the trails we’re riding on for Bicycle Sunday, which is October 6 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The ride starts at Yanney Park and spans Betty’s Trail and Pioneer’s Path before ending at the Archway. Be sure to come out and ride. We’re going to have our ReThink Your Drink display out and there will be some really cool prizes.
