We’re less than a week away from the end of our DietBet, and today’s carrot is to stay strong and not give up. Many people get discouraged when weight loss doesn’t come easily, or when our weight plateaus after a good start. It’s only day 23, though. There’s still a lot of time ahead of me, and a lot of work to be done. Changing bad habits and jump starting good ones is going to take a little time.
If you’ve ever struggled after the first couple weeks of trying to Be Active and Lighten Up, don’t worry–you aren’t alone. There will always be bumps along the way, and at a couple weeks in, you’re still rewiring everything, still building on your strengths, and developing the tools to help you succeed. You shouldn’t expect things to change overnight, so get upset when they do, just keep going!
