Warmer weather is in sight! There are multiple benefits of adding physical activity to your daily routine. Adding just 30 minutes of physical activity per day can add years to your life. Getting your body up and moving can leave you feeling refreshed and ready to take on the day. Regular physical activity and exercise helps the body’s systems function better, decreases the risk of heart disease, and helps you lose weight.
This month, we’re challenging you to get 30 minutes of physical activity per day! Whenever you would normally sit down and watch T.V. or go on the computer, use that time to Be Active! No matter what kind of physical activity you get, whether it’s an evening Yoga class, a family walk, or three 10-minute bouts of physical activity, doing something is better than nothing. Do something fun, try something new, and get you (and your family) motivated to start this healthy habit!
