Tips for Eating Out

Chain restaurants are required to list nutrition information, and it’s often available online. Before you eat out, check the restaurant’s website and plan what’s best for you ahead of time! Here are some more easy tips to follow when eating out.

Portion Control

It takes about 20 minutes for your brain to get the message to your stomach that you are no longer hungry. Fast eaters tend to overeat, while slow eaters tend to eat less and are still satisfied. To avoid overeating, get portion control plates, bowls, and cups! You might be surprised, but many of the plates, bowls, and cups we use every day are larger than recommended portion sizes, causing you to eat more.
