There is nothing like enjoying the summer sun with family and friends.  Playing outside is a great way to be active and pass the time (it is not just for kids).  June 24-26 is the 16th Annual Community Olympic Games sponsored by Good Samaritan Hospital and the City of Kearney Park and Recreation Department.

Teams are composed of 10-30 people 18 years and older, but anyone of any age can go out and enjoy the festivities.  Some of the events include: badminton, ’80’s lip sync, kickball, volleyball, adventure trail run, obstacle course, swimming and much more.

You do not have to win to receive points.  Simply participating in many of these events will earn points for your team, so get out and have fun. Teams will be assembled into business, church, school group, and other community organization categories.

The final registration deadline is Wednesday, May 11, and only the first 32 teams will be accepted.  So get signed up today!  For further information or an entry packet please call Scott Hayden, at (308)237-4644.
